Morgan achieves a unique accolade with the USWNT!

Morgan has been a phenomenal striker of the ball for quite a few years. The USWNT star is currently still in her prime. The born leader has always led by example. Alex Morgan scored a stunning goal against Brazil in USWNT’s final game of the SheBelieves Cup.

During stoppage time of the first half, Mallory Swanson tried her luck to curl one past the keeper inside the box. However, she was denied by the opposition’s defense. The stadium then lit up after the ball fell to Morgan.

The star forward then took a touch and steamed her shot right past the keeper. It was a stunning shot from outside the box considering the curl and dip on the ball. It’s obvious that the entire stadium went crazy after that. With that goal, she managed to create a historic record. Alex Morgan became the first individual to score 14 goals as a mother.

She narrowly passed Joy Fawcett’s record with the stunning goal. This goal also helped the USWNT take the lead against Brazil. The team’s lead was then doubled by Mallory Swanson in the second half. The USWNT ended up winning the game 2-1, despite a last-ditch effort by the Brazilians.

It’s been a hell of a ride for Morgan to come back to soccer after giving birth to her first child. She once revealed that her family supported her immensely during that phase and also motivated her to get back to the sport.

Keeping that aside, the USWNT is now most importantly preparing for soccer’s biggest tournament.
