talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Monday 2 December

A lack of Premier League or Championship action means we cast our net into Europe for the best bets for Monday night’s action.

Our tips focus on a mid-table La Liga scrap, a must-win game for Porto and a Serie A clash of clubs at contrasting ends of the form spectrum.

Bet of the day

Under 2.5 goals in Sevilla v Osasuna @ 7/10

Goal hunters should steer clear of Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Monday night when two clubs that produced a couple of unremarkable draws last season clash again.

Sevilla have been 1-0 merchants this term, winning three of their last five games at home by that score.

They will no doubt attempt to do the same when an Osasuna side that sits six places above them visit.

Aside from a 2-0 win at Real Sociedad, the Pamplona club have struggled away from home and they have scored only two goals in five trips outside Euskadi (the Basque country).

Three of their last four road games have stopped short of a third goal while five of Sevilla’s six home matches have also failed to feature more than two strikes, making the under 2.5 play enticing.

Special of the Day

Under 9.5 corners in Porto vs Casa Pia @ 21/20

A toxic atmosphere has engulfed Porto after the Dragons lost three games on the bounce recently and little was done to quell the fans’ ire on Thursday night when Vitor Bruno’s side drew 2-2 at Anderlecht in the Europa League.

Nothing short of a convincing victory is required when they return to Primeira Liga duty on Monday with a home clash against mid-table Casa Pia.

Porto, who could be nine points adrift of leaders Sporting when they kick off, have won eight of their nine home games this season only failing to stay perfect when Manchester United fashioned a late draw at the Estadio do Dragao in the Europa League.

They should beat Casa Pia, who lost both of this season’s clashes with Porto’s ‘big three’ rivals without scoring.

And there is a solid case for there to be fewer than 10 corners in the game with Porto having faced only 17 in their opening six home league games of the campaign.

Casa Pia will defend deep, but Sporting only won five corners when they beat the Geese 2-0 at home in October.

Longshot of the Day

Atalanta to beat Roma 3-2 @ 22/1

The final Serie A fixture of the round sees in-form Atalanta face out-of-sorts Roma at Stadio Olimpico.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have won seven games in a row to remain hot on the heels of leaders Napoli, who they beat 3-0 on the road earlier this month.

Scoring three or more goals has become commonplace for Atalanta, who hit Young Boys for six in the Champions League on Tuesday.

La Dea are averaging 2.9 goals per game across their last 10 Serie A games and will fancy their chances of maintaining that ratio against a Roma side that lost 3-2 to Bologna in their last home game.

The Giallorossi also lost 3-2 to Verona earlier this month and were not far off recording a third such loss in five when they drew 2-2 at Tottenham on Thursday.
