The midfielder is alleged to have threatened match official, Jelly Chavani during the Buccaneers’ goalless draw against Richards Bay FC.
Monare’s actions included an animated confrontation with a ball boy, whom he believed was wasting time.
Subsequently, he approached the referee, pointing his finger in Chavani’s face in a seemingly threatening manner.
“I’ve just received the video material,” Ebrahim informed KickOff.
“According to the referee and his team, it appears that Monare’s behavior towards the ball boy was unacceptable.
“He reportedly shoved him, and this incident occurred around the 88th minute.
“While it may be a result of player frustration, directing it at the ball boy is inappropriate.”
Ebrahim continued, “I believe the ball boy was pushed, and the incident has been reported to the PSL. Now, we await the PSL’s response as this falls within their jurisdiction.
“The referee and match official have duly reported the incident.
“Therefore, let’s allow the PSL to take the necessary steps, conduct an investigation, and determine the appropriate course of action.”
