Mamelodi Sundowns dominate at the 22/22 PSL awards

Mamelodi Sundowns dominated at the 2022/2023 Premier Soccer League awards that took place on Sunday evening.

The Brazilians were head and shoulders above the rest as they went on to clinch a sixth successive league title, finishing 16 points above the nearest challenger Orlando Pirates.

Teboho Mokoena was the big winner on the night after being named PSL Footballer of the Season while he also picked up the DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season accolade.

The Brazilians walked away with an impressive seven awards on the night, which also Rulani Mokwena being named Coach of the Season.

Monnapule Saleng enjoyed a memorable first season with Orlando Pirates, having registered 15 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

After clinching the Nedbank Cup on Saturday night, the Buccaneers winger picked up the MTN8 Last Man Standing award and was also named DStv Premiership Players’ Player of the Season.
