Premier League star Nathan Aspinall reveals darts isn’t the sport he plays most
Nathan Aspinall has admitted he does not take much of an interest in darts away from the oche.
‘The Asp’ is a two-time PDC Major winner and will compete in this year’s Premier League.
However, the 33-year-old has revealed darts is not even the sport he plays the most.
Instead, Aspinall prefers both snooker and golf over the sport he plays professionally.
Asked if there are any young players coming through the ranks who could go on to emulate Luke Littler, Aspinall told Drive: “It’s going to sound awful, but I don’t really take an interest in darts.
“I prefer snooker. Yeah, I love snooker. When I’m not playing darts, I’m either playing golf or watching snooker.

“I don’t watch darts, I don’t follow darts. So I can’t really answer that question. I’ve heard of a name, Jayden Walker.
“I don’t know who he is or where he’s from. I don’t really. I watch the final, but apart from that, I don’t watch it.”
When asked if he was any good at snooker or golf, the world no.11 said: “Awful. I play more snooker than darts. I cannot get any good at it.
“I’m not bad at golf. I play off 10s golf, I’m not bad at golf.”
Aspinall has previously won both the World Matchplay and UK Open in his career, as well as being a Premier League runner-up in 2020.
He will be making his fifth appearance in the competition this year having been named in the line-up on Monday.
