Napoli go 18 points clear and close in on first title in 33 years thanks to stunners from Manchester United and Chelsea target Victor Osimhen and Newcastle-linked Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
While Napoli will be dreaming of a first Serie A title since 1990, Premier League clubs will be drooling over their stars.
The Italian giants moved a whopping 18 points clear at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Sassuolo, with second-placed Inter Milan to respond at the weekend.
It’s looking like that will very much be in vain, though, with Napoli well on course for glory, winning 20 games out of a possible 23 this season.
Unsurprisingly, it was again thanks to their two key men, with Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia both adding to their highlight reels of stunning goals.
Georgian winger Kvaratskhelia – affectionately known as ‘Kvaradona’ at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium – didn’t waste any time to get proceedings started.
The £10million summer signing from the almost unheard of Dinamo Batumi continued his extraordinary rise to fame when he collected the ball from the middle of the pitch, hurdled one challenge, held up the defence and then picked out a corner.
The 12th minute opener was the 22-year-old’s 12th goal in all competitions this season, while he has 12 assists on top of that.
And doubling the lead 20 minutes later was his partner in crime upfront, Osimhen, who somehow squeezed in a tight-angled shot in showing his extraordinary confidence.

The Nigerian striker is on 18 goals and three assists in the league this season, and it’s no surprise that Premier League clubs are sniffing around.
Manchester United appeared keen on the 24-year-old after signing Wout Weghorst as a placeholder, but talkSPORT understands that Chelsea are very keen to beat them to the punch.
Meanwhile, it’s also been claimed that Newcastle’s scouts have named Kvaratskhelia as one of their main targets for the summer, with Napoli set to make an extraordinary profit on the winger as clubs struggle to resist his incredible skill.
