Man City star Phil Foden beats Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and Cole Palmer to be crowned as PFA Player of the Year
Phil Foden has pipped Manchester City teammates Erling Haaland and Rodri to win the 2023/24 PFA Player of the Year award.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stunning season where he helped the Citizens claim a record fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Foden chipped in with 19 top-flight goals and eight assists – including two strikes in the final game over West Ham which secured City the championship.
In total, he was directly involved in 39 goals [27 goals, 12 assists] in 53 matches in all competitions for Pep Guardiola‘s men.
And his dazzling displays have seen him crowned as the PFA Player of the Year at Manchester Opera House on Tuesday night.

His latest award adds to the two PFA Young Player gongs he scooped in 2021 and 2022.
Foden, who was one of four City players including Kyle Walker, Rodri and Haaland to be named in the PFA Team of the Year, was one of six nominees for the prestigious individual award.
As was Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard, Chelsea star Cole Palmer – Foden’s ex-Citizens teammate – and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, his England teammate.
But it was Foden who came out on top, with the versatile forward praising City’s coaches and his teammates in his speech.
