Liverpool talisman’s departure is ‘done deal’
Liverpool will be expecting to continue their impressive run of form when they face Luton Town on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have started the season strongly, winning seven of their ten Premier League matches to climb up to fourth place in the table.
The Reds arrive at Kenilworth Road to face a Hatters side that are likely to be embroiled in a relegation battle this season, and Klopp will therefore be keen to ensure his side produce a dominant display.
Off the pitch, though, Liverpool could be set to lose arguably their most important player.
As per Football Insider, a sensational deal that would see Mohamed Salah move to Saudi Arabia next year is ‘done’.
The Egyptian was the subject of significant interest from the Pro League over the summer, with Al-Ittihad having a £150 million offer for the forward rejected.
It is claimed that the star has now verbally agreed to move to the Middle East, despite Liverpool being adamant that they want him to stay.
The 31-year-old joined the Reds from Italian side Roma back in 2017 and has since established himself as one of the world’s best players.
In total he has scored 196 goals and provided 83 assists in 319 matches for the club across all competitions, winning seven trophies including the Champions League and Premier League.
He has also scored ten goals and provided four assists in 14 matches so far this season.
Salah will turn 32 next summer and the report claims that a repeat offer of £150 million could be enough to persuade Liverpool to part ways with the player, who will have just one year remaining on his current contract at the end of the season.
The Egypt international is said to have been tempted by the lucrative prospect of moving to the Pro League.
