Are Liverpool right to target Mbeumo?

Having spent his career with Troyes and Brentford, Mbuemo is yet to test himself at the highest level possible, raising some doubt as to whether he could handle the pressure of playing for a club of Liverpool’s stature.

However, the Cameroonian has showcased throughout his Premier League that he can be a consistent performer and trouble some of the best teams the top flight has to offer.

Mbeumo’s versatility may appeal to Liverpool after proving he can operate on the right flank, as a support to the main striker or as the lone centre-forward.

The Brentford man would help in Liverpool’s creative efforts as well as providing a goal threat of his own accord.

From the player’s perspective, he would surely jump at the chance to join a Champions League club and play in Europe for the first time.
