The 25-year-old has bagged 21 goals in all competitions this season, which is 16 more than the paltry five he managed last term.

Clearly, working with Ten Hag has brought his game on big time and he is showing himself to be one of Europe’s best forwards after a rough previous couple of seasons.

How many Premier League goals has Rashford scored this season?

Rashford has been one of the league’s best players since the mid-season break and has destroyed almost every defence he has faced.

The England man has also scored all types of goals, including headers and long-range strikes.

He is currently fourth in the Premier League goalscoring charts this season with 12 goals. Only Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Ivan Toney have scored more than Rashford this season.

But he has scored eight of his 12 goals in the last nine league games, which is brilliant.

So he is having a fantastic season and his latest goal against Leeds saw him surpass Eric Cantona’s Premier League record.

The Frenchman scored 70 times for the Red Devils and Leeds and this latest goal was Rashford’s 71st in the competition.

And if he keeps performing like this, the 100-goal mark will soon be within reach.

Plus, his manager loves working with him.

Speaking after the win over Leeds, Ten Hag said: “I don’t know where it will stop but he has to go from game to game and during the week do the right things.

“He has the skills. I was convinced from the first moment. I was really excited to work with him. Yeah, I thought I could get more out of him.

“But he has so many skills, such high potential and I think there can be even more.

“When he works well, he will even score more goals because he can score with his left, right and his head.”
