German club in talks to sign Manchester United star

Manchester United will hope to pick up three more points when they host Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim’s side came from behind to beat 20th-placed Southampton 3-1 on Thursday, courtesy of Amad Diallo’s late hat-trick.

That result means United sit 13th in the standings at present, but they could move as high as 11th with victory over the Seagulls.

Amorim has had to deal with the uncertain future of forward Marcus Rashford in recent weeks, with the England international admitting recently that he is ‘ready for a new challenge’.

Now, it appears that the Manchester club are set for more talks with a potential suitor for the player.

According to Fabrizio Romano, German side Borussia Dortmund are set for further talk with United in the coming days as they look to agree a deal for Rashford.

Romano claims that Dortmund are exploring the idea of a loan move for the 27-year-old, while Spanish giants Barcelona are also very interested in the player.

Rashford could be on his way to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund

Rashford is a product of United’s youth academy and has played more than 420 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 138 goals and registering 63 assists.

The forward featured in Amorim’s first four Premier League matches in charge of the Red Devils, but hasn’t since played in the competition and has been named on the bench just once in that time.

Rashford’s contract with United is set to run until the summer of 2028, but it appears increasingly likely that he will depart Old Trafford – on loan at last – prior to then.

Romano also suggests that Italian side AC Milan – who had been linked with a move for Rashford – are currently focussing on a deal for Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker.
