EPL table after Matchday 31: Where Ndidi, Iwobi, Onuachu, Aribo, and Aina’s clubs stand
Matchday 31 of the English Premier League (EPL) brought pivotal moments for Super Eagles stars fighting at both ends of the table, Soccernet.ng reports.
With just a few games left in the season, the futures of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu, Joe Aribo, Ola Aina, and their respective clubs are becoming increasingly clear.
Following this weekend’s action, Soccernet takes a quick look at where the clubs of the Super Eagles stars stand
Ndidi’s Leicester City – 19th
For Wilfred Ndidi and Leicester City, it has gone from bad to worse. The Foxes are now firmly planted in 19th place after suffering their fifth consecutive defeat.
With just 17 points from 30 games, they are staring at relegation in the face, having scored only 25 goals while conceding a whopping 67. Barring a miraculous turnaround, Leicester’s return to the Championship looks inevitable.
Onuachu and Aribo’s Southampton – 20th
Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo’s Southampton are rooted to the bottom of the EPL table. After 31 matches, they’ve managed just 10 points, winning only two games all season.

Their latest defeat to Tottenham puts a stop to a dismal run of form—four losses and a draw in their last five. Survival looks all but impossible as they are officially relegated from the league with seven games left.
Iwobi and Bassey’s Fulham – 8th
On the other end of the league standings, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are enjoying a more respectable campaign with Fulham.
The Cottagers sit 8th on the log with 48 points after 31 games. Despite an inconsistent recent run—three wins and two losses in their last five—Fulham are still in contention for a European spot.
Iwobi continues to play a pivotal role in their attacking transitions, with his recent goal coming against Liverpool in their matchday 31 clash.

Aina and Awoniyi’s Nottingham Forest – 3rd
Perhaps the biggest shock of the season so far is Nottingham Forest in 3rd place on the table. With 57 points, they’ve leapfrogged traditional top-four contenders and find themselves in a Champions League spot after Matchday 31.
Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi have both contributed to Forest’s unlikely rise, with the Super Eagles duo playing a significant role in the club’s incredible run. Forest have won three of their last five and remains one of the season’s biggest surprises.

Matchday 32 is another chapter for the Super Eagles players. Southampton’s fate has been decided, but it’s left for Leicester City to stage a turnaround in the few matches remaining.
