Crystal Palace fan ‘throws plastic bottle at Roy Hodgson’ after latest Premier League defeat
A Crystal Palace fan reportedly threw a plastic bottle at Roy Hodgson after their 2-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles have won just two of their last nine games in the Premier League and have now dropped to 14th in the table.
Palace returned to Selhurst Park on Wednesday night after picking up an important draw away at West Ham at the weekend.
It was their first point won since a victory away at Burnley at the beginning of November, but they failed to grasp anything again.
Marcos Senesi opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the first-half before Kieffer Moore sealed the win in second-half stoppage-time.
The result is Palace’s seventh league defeat of the season and fourth consecutive game without a win.

At full-time, The Guardian writer Ed Aarons reported that a home fan threw a plastic bottle at Hodgson as he went down the tunnel. It’s understood stewards stepped in to try and identify the culprit.
Hodgson returned as Palace boss in March after Patrick Vieira was dismissed from the role.
He helped guide the south London club away from the relegation zone and signed a new one-year deal in the summer.
Palace won their opening game of the season away at Sheffield United but have picked up just three victories since then.

Although they are nine points clear of the bottom three, such a gap could decrease if they fail to pick up crucial points.
The result leaves Palace in 14th spot in the table, nine points clear of the relegation zone.
