Chelsea injury, suspension news vs. Crystal Palace: Will Romeo Lavia be available for selection?

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea’s injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea return to action on Saturday afternoon when they square off against Crystal Palace in their fourth London derby in the space of a month.

The Blues head into this contest on the back of their worst run of form all season, extended by a 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town earlier this week.

As a result, Enzo Maresca‘s side sit in fourth position in the Premier League table ahead of a game that has become increasingly important as they bid to remain in the top four.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea’s injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Eagles at Selhurst Park.

Status: Minor doubt

Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Lavia has been unavailable for the last four Premier League fixtures due to a hamstring problem, but there is a chance that the midfielder could be back in the squad against Palace. Last week, Maresca revealed that the Belgium international was back on the training pitch.

Chelsea have no suspension issues heading into this game.
