Chelsea and City want £60m-rated Bastoni
Chelsea and City chase £60m-rated Bastoni
Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni – but the defender could cost £60 million.
Bastoni recently signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri but that hasn’t put off the Premier League giants.
An article in the Sun suggests: “The centre-back is one of the most in demand players in the world, having previously turned down opportunities to move.
“He rejected Tottenham when former manager Antonio Conte made an approach over a year ago.
“Now Chelsea and City have turned their eye to Bastoni too, report Calciomercato.
“But Inter will hold out for a hefty transfer fee with the Italy defender priced at £60 million.
“The Serie A giants are not under pressure to sell as Bastoni penned a five-year deal in the summer.”
Liverpool weighing up move for Phillips
“The former Leeds midfielder will be on the market this January and Sky Sports in Germany say that no contact has been made from Bayern Munich, although Liverpool may be an option. Juventus are also believed to be interested in the City player,” the Mirror writes.
“Phillips would provide Liverpool some much-needed defensive cover in midfield with Szoboszlai specifically attack-minded and only Endo, who has yet to feature regularly, is viewed as defensive. That would explain the interest in the England international, who is desperate for more game-time.”
Sancho’s career at Man Utd considered to be ‘90% over’
Jadon Sancho’s career at Manchester United is considered to be “90% over,” it has been claimed.
An article in the Mail states: “According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United officials believe Sancho has to find a new club in January.
“The club are reportedly aware that a permanent deal is unlikely to be struck in January for the winger, who cost the club £73m in the summer of 2021, with a loan deal considered a more likely prospect.
“Manchester United were prepared to accept £45m for Sancho in the summer.
“United are prepared to take a significant loss on Sancho, if it means supporting Ten Hag who was brought in to improve discipline which had lapsed under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.
“After six-and-a-half weeks training on his own, there is a growing feeling that even if he were to apologise now, Ten Hag would see it as empty and unacceptable.”
Barcelona and Real Madrid targeting ‘new Kylian Mbappe’
Teenage sensation Eli Junior Kroupi is attracting the interest of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
That’s according to a report in the Mail which claims the form of the 17-year-old Lorient striker in Ligue 1 has “alerted Europe’s big guns”.
The outlet adds: “The 17-year-old has taken the league by storm this season for Lorient and has been dubbed ‘the next Kylian Mbappe’ after a string of striking displays.
“According to Sport, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are watching him closely.”
Kroupi has already three goals to his name this season and a brace against Lyon in October made him the youngest player to score twice in Ligue 1 since Bernard Zeneir in 1974, at 17 years and 107 days.
