Arsenal willing to listen to offers for six first team players

Arsenal will continue their pre-season preparations by facing French side Monaco in the final of the Emirates Cup on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Barcelona in their last outing, just days after losing to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his side can go one better than last season this time around, with the Gunners having finished second in the table behind Manchester City.

So far this summer, the North London outfit have signed Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber in an effort to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Midfielder Granit Xhaka has departed The Emirates, but it now appears that Arteta is prepared to allow other squad players to leave during the current window.

According to Football Insider, The Gunners are willing to listen to offers for no fewer than six players.

The report claims that Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Folarin Balogun, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Matt Turner are all up for sale this summer.

Holding is one of several stars who could still leave Arsenal this summer

Tierney joined Arsenal from Scottish side Celtic four years ago and was a regular during his first three seasons in the capital, before the arrival of fellow left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City last summer pushed him down the pecking order.

Balogun, meanwhile, spent last season on loan at French side Reims and scored 22 goals in 39 matches across all competitions, but doesn’t appear to have done enough to convince Arteta that he deserves a place in his squad for the upcoming campaign.

Tavares and Lokonga have recently returned from loan spells at Marseille and Crystal Palace respectively, but it appears that both may have played their final game for Arsenal.

Goalkeeper Turner joined the Gunners from New England Revolution last year but made just seven appearances for the club during his first season in England and could now leave after just one year.

One player that has featured relatively regularly for Arteta’s side over the past few seasons is centre-back Holding, who made 24 appearances across all competitions last term.

Despite playing a bit-part role, the report claims that the Englishman would be allowed to leave The Emirates if a suitable offer is made.
