Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United target available for £50 million
Liverpool will hope to restore their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 12 points when they face rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.
The Reds have established a healthy advantage at the top, however Arsenal moved to within nine points of the leaders by beating Fulham 2-1 on Tuesday evening.
Arne Slot’s side were held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Everton in their last meeting back in February, and the Dutchman will hope to see his side pick up all three points this time around.
In the meantime, it has emerged that one of Liverpool’s transfer targets could be available this summer.
As per TBR Football, RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons could be available this summer.
The 21-year-old joined Leipzig on loan from French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 before making the move permanent during the recent January transfer window.
In total he has made 69 appearances for the German side across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 20 assists.
The report claims that, as well as Liverpool, Premier League rivals Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United have also expressed an interest in the Netherlands international.
It is also claimed that the player himself is keen to leave Leipzig this summer, however the Bundesliga side are set to stick to their £50 million price tag for the versatile attacker.
Simons’ representatives are currently said to be working on a potential move for the youngster this summer, with several clubs interested in the ex-PSG man.
The Dutchman initially made a name for himself at PSV Eindhoven, having joined on a free transfer from PSG in 2022.
His form prompted the French champions to re-sign the player in the summer of 2023, before instantly sending him on loan to Germany, meaning he has only ever played 11 times for PSG at senior level.
