“Wants us to become a machine” – Dessers credits Clement’s vision for Glasgow Rangers unbeaten streak

Cyriel Dessers has revealed boss Philippe Clement’s vision to transform the team into a winning machine, Soccernet.ng reports.

Dessers’ was instrumental in Rangers’ 2-0 victory over Livingston, netting the opener for the Light Blues before James Tavernier converted a penalty to help maintain Clement’s unbeaten start.

Despite Tavernier missing a first-half penalty and goals from Connor Goldson and Ross McCausland being ruled out, Dessers expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance.

In an interview with Rangers TV, the Super Eagles star emphasized the gaffer’s belief in the team’s strength and commended their first-half display, making it challenging for Livingston to assert themselves.

“The gaffer told us we are a strong team in this league, and the way we played in the first half, we made it difficult for Livingston to get into the game,” Dessers said.

“We scored some goals, which were disallowed, but even with the setbacks, we kept going, and we got our reward with a good win.

“It was an unbelievable pass from Tom Lawrence for my goal, and we knew he could do that as he has shown it already this season with Rabbi Matondo’s goal at St Johnstone.

“When he got the ball, I made the run, and it was a perfect pass, and I managed to score.

“The gaffer’s style of play suits the characteristics of the team and the players we have, which is a really good thing.

“These last few weeks, we have been growing and getting better, and I think this is just the beginning.

“He wants us to become a machine, and hopefully, we can grow to that standard.”

Rangers have won their last five games in all competitions, with Dessers registering three goals in his four league matches.
