Manchester United are set for their biggest test of the season when they host rivals Man City in a huge derby showdown this weekend.

The Red Devils are slowly building momentum following a poor start to the new campaign after securing successive Premier League wins.

Erik ten Hag’s side battled to a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United to move up eighth, six points behind neighbours City at the top.

And they continued their recent turnaround by securing a morale-boosting 1-0 win over Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s men look equally in imperious form, having followed up their 2-1 win over Brighton by beating Young Boys 3-1 in midweek.

City secured the most recent bragging rights when they beat United in the FA Cup final, but the Red Devils have cause for optimism having won the last time the two teams met at OldTrafford.

This Premier League clash is set for Sunday, October 29.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is scheduled for 3:30pm.

The hosts are set to welcome back Casemiro after a minor injury on international duty kept him out of the win over the Blades, while he was also rested in midweek due to a suspension against Copenhagen.

But Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Sergio Reguilon and Amad Diallo are all set to be still sidelined.

Jadon Sancho remains out following his public feud with Ten Hag however youngster Kobbie Mainoo is back in training.

City have a much cleaner bill of health, with only long-term absentee Kevin De Bruyne and third goalkeeper Zack Steffen in the treatment room.

However, Manuel Akanji’s late red card against Brighton means that he will miss this game through suspension.
