Red-hot Rashford and magic Maddison both looking to steal the show at Old Trafford

After impressing against Barcelona midweek, Manchester United look to creep closer to the Premier League’s top two as they host Leicester City at Old Trafford.

Man United come into this fixture full of confidence after a 2-0 win away at Leeds, and a 2-2 draw with Barcelona in the Europa League.

Similarly, The Foxes will fancy their chances of grabbing three points having won their last two league games; beating Aston Villa 4-2 and thrashing Tottenham 4-1.

Considering the questionable start Man United had at the start of the season, the Erik ten Hag era is now well and truly underway and his side are unbeaten in their last seven games.

The Red Devils are still competing on four fronts this season, and could end their six-year wait for silverware when they take on Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Final in two weeks’ time.

Despite heading into this match with back-to-back victories behind them, Leicester were winless in their previous five Premier League games, leaving them 13th in the table.

Brendan Rodgers still has a lot of work to do if he wants to secure a top-ten finish this season, and his midfield maestro could be the man to make it happen for him.

James Maddison has been involved in 21 goals in his last 19 Premier League starts, scoring 13 and assisting eight. 

Maddison’s struggled against Man United in the past, though. He’s faced the Red Devils without scoring more often than any other opponent in the competition (eight games).

Leicester need to be wary of an in-form Marcus Rashford who has been flying high at Man United over the past few weeks.

The England man has scored in each of his last six Premier League home games; only two Manchester United players have scored in more consecutive appearances at Old Trafford in the competition – Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.
