In-form Marcus Rashford can emulate Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney by continuing Old Trafford scoring against Leeds after already beating Cristiano Ronaldo streak
Marcus Rashford is in the form of his life for Manchester United, scoring 11 goals in 13 games in all competitions since the World Cup.
Six of those have come in seven Premier League fixtures and Rashford has led the Red Devils back into the title race with his record putting him clear as the club’s top scorer.
The 25-year-old has scored in each of his last five league games at Old Trafford, with his most recent coming in a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.
Erik ten Hag’s side now welcome Leeds to Manchester on Wednesday – EXCLUSIVELY live on talkSPORT – and the forward will be aiming to extend his run to six.
If Rashford can continue his home scoring form in the Premier League, he will emulate United’s all-time top scorer.
Wayne Rooney was the last Red Devils player to net six goals in six Premier League matches, a feat which he achieved in April 2012.
Matching Rooney’s streak would put him among the club’s legends but he has already beaten some huge names in all competitions.
Rashford had scored in nine straight games at Old Trafford altogether, although that run came to an end against Reading in the FA Cup.

This superb scoring streak saw him blitz the similar runs of Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud Van Nistelrooy who scored in six consecutive matches at home during their time at the club.
Rashford was able to beat those achievements with ease as he managed to net in nine straight games at Old Trafford.
He scored his seventh in a row to beat their record against Everton in January before going on to net three times in the next two games after that.
So after already toppling some United legends, Rashford will be out to emulate another in Rooney this week.
