Man United make seven players available for sale

Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations with a game against Premier League rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

The Red Devils started their preparations for the new campaign with a shock 1-0 defeat against Rosenborg, before bouncing back with a 2-0 victory over Scottish side Rangers on Saturday.

Manager Erik ten Hag has given opportunities to several fringe and young players over the past two games, but it remains to be seen how he will approach the game against the Gunners.

Off the pitch, it is being reported that United are prepared to sell as many as seven more first team players during the current transfer window.

As per ESPN via The Express, the Manchester club’s part-owners, INEOS, are hoping to offload players this summer in order to raise funds after making two high profile signings already this window.

Both Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro have already arrived at Old Trafford this summer – for a combined fee of more than £87 million – and those in charge of the club are now keen to recoup some funds.

It is claimed that central defenders Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have both been put up for sale, as well as right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Midfielders Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen are also named as potential outgoings, as well as wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho.

The seven players made more than 200 appearances for United combined last season, and have played more than 1,100 times for the Red Devils over the course of their respective careers with the club.

Despite this, it is claimed that INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are intent on offloading a number of players before the end of the transfer window next month.

Alvaro Fernandez, Willy Kambwala, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood have all already departed Old Trafford so far this summer, for a combined fee of around £47 million.
