2024 MLS All-Star Game set for July 24 in Columbus

The 2024 MLS All-Star Game now has an official date.

Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field will host the annual summer event on July 24, Major League Soccer announced Monday. It will be the third-time ever that the All-Star Game will be held in Columbus and the first time at Lower.com Field, which opened in 2021.

The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge will take place on July 23. In addition, the All-Star Game will officially kick off a busy summer schedule, which also features the third annual Leagues Cup.

“We’re excited to host Liga MX at the 2024 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, showcasing the global and rising stars of our leagues, and the strength of our sport in North America,” said MLS Executive Vice President of Properties and Events Camilo Durana.

“Our previous encounters set high bars for intensity and competition in All-Star games. The 2024 edition will be a night to remember for Columbus’ passionate fans and for audiences around the world watching on MLS Season Pass.”

Lower.com Field opened its doors in 2021 for the Columbus Crew and since has hosted both MLS and U.S. men’s and women’s national team matches. The 2024 MLS All-Star Game will be the culmination of a week-long series of events throughout Columbus including community initiatives, concerts, parties, the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge and more.

The MLS All-Star Roster will feature 26 players; 12 selected by fan votes, 12 selected by head coach Wilfried Nancy, and two selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

English Premier League side Arsenal rolled past the MLS All-Stars 5-0 at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. last year.
